The film tells the moving story of Owen Suskind, an autistic boy who suddenly lost his ability to speak at the age of three and only regained his ability to communicate with others years later with the help of animated Disney films. The film shows how the diverse stories of Disney characters give Owen access to the world and accompany him through the ups and downs of growing up.
