Mina is twelve years old, slightly nerdy, gets good grades and has a best friend in Marcus. But after the summer holidays, Edvin joins her school - and Edvin is known throughout Norway as hip-hopper E.D.W! Mina starts to crush on him and suddenly has a problem: she is chubby, wears glasses, moves a little awkwardly and simply can't dance as well as the other girls. Everyone laughs at her when she wants to take part in a hip-hop dance competition, but no one thought it was possible: Mina is accepted into the crew to take part in the competition! From now on, Mina trains harder than anyone else and begins to neglect Marcus as well. She adopts a new look, but also stops eating properly. Until she passes out from exhaustion during training. Adorably affectionate and incredibly entertaining, ‘Dancing Queen’ tells a warm-hearted story about courage, friendship and new self-confidence. The plot may sound familiar, but everything is different here.
