As a genderqueer person, Sabi Mehboob (Bilail Baig) is in the midst of searching for their own identity: on the one hand, the youngest child of a large family with Pakistani roots, the true millennial acts as the de facto “adult” in a wealthy hipster family while working as a nanny. Their job as a bartender in an LGBTQ bookstore, which also runs a trendy café, is almost a side gig. Unlike their sister and roommate Aqsa (Supinder Wraich), their own mother has never seen Sabi's true self.
As if this family and professional chaos weren't enough, Sabi also feels like he's in a constant state of transition – from his own gender and sexuality to his living circumstances and developing ideas for his future. It's good that, despite all these problems, Sabi can turn to best friend 7ven (Amanda Cordner) as a rock in the storm. When Bessy, the mother of the nanny family, falls into a coma after an accident, Sabi can no longer separate the two spheres – and that's when the problems really begin...
