In the Bosnian camp, disputes soon arise: while one group wants to use the bomb to kill the emperor, Hugo Oberstein, the head of the gang, wants to auction it off to the highest bidder. They finally agree to use the bomb itself for the assassination, but to sell the plans for it. Holmes succeeds in taking the plans in Budapest and destroying them, before subsequently thwarting the assassination attempt on the emperor and thus preventing the outbreak of a world war for the time being. Under Freud's hypnosis, Irene Adler finally also manages to remember the murder and to unmask the true culprit.
