A Cinematic Search for Clues in Siemensstadt

Society, Germany 2022

In their documentary portrait, the young filmmakers explore Siemensstadt, a district in the east of Berlin's Spandau borough, where they go to school. They have succeeded in making a film about a diverse Berlin neighborhood whose appeal is characterized above all by the extraordinary interplay of nature and urban space. Poetic images of the district are framed by the personal stories of several residents who have only recently moved there or have always lived and worked in this historically and urbanistically unique place.
