Paris, the French capital on the Seine, attracts not only tourists but also millions of honey bees. Today, beekeepers keep around 2000 hives on the roofs and in the gardens of the French capital. No wonder, as historic gardens and tree-lined avenues have an enormous number of different plants to offer. The aim of committed urban beekeepers is to preserve the all-important honey bee.
