In a Cage

A bear lives in a cage in the zoo. One day, three chicks hatch in the nest nearby. Unlike its siblings, the red chick cannot fly straight away - but it can whistle and warble beautifully. When its mother and siblings fly away, the chick stays with the bear. The two become friends, have lots of fun together and become a great team, helping, supporting and making music together through all the seasons. But it doesn't always stay that way, and the bear has to realise that things change and he has to learn to forgive. A sensitive animated film in magnificent colours, funny, clever and with an almost utopian vision. It is about friendship, the power of mutual understanding and forgiveness - and about music that gives wings to all living beings!
