In “Our Life Is Full of Memories”, a welcome class from the Fürstenwalder Sigmund Jähn Elementary School (Fürstenwalde) meets 90-year-old Rudi Ahmed Hönow, whom they happen to meet while doing film research. The former cobbler is the son of the first Muslim in Fürstenwalde, who came from Istanbul to Berlin by train as an orphan after the First World War. The students draw an intimate and touching portrait of the old man, his life story and his memories, which are sometimes happy and sometimes very sad.
